Consulting service

Why does this service exist?
Industrial companies with problems accessing bank financing often turn to the public administration for support.

The General State Administration offers numerous financing alternatives that are designed to finance different types of investment projects.

The problem is that for many companies, recognising which financial programme is most appropriate for their industrial initiative is not an easy task, given that a business project can often involve different types of investments.

To help companies deal with this task, the State Secretariat for Industry has launched the advisory service.

What is its objective?

The ultimate objective of this programme is to achieve a scenario of greater knowledge of the different financing alternatives on the part of companies, so that they can increase their chances of success in applying for public financing and thus take advantage of all the financial potential of the State at the service of national industry.

In order to achieve this general objective, the advisory service has the following specific objectives:

  • To provide information on the different financial instruments offered by the NSA for industrial initiatives.
  • To resolve any specific doubts that potential beneficiaries may have about the different financing programmes.
  • To make the potential beneficiary reflect on the degree of definition of the project that is necessary to be successful in the request for public funding.
  • Help the beneficiary to understand the different types of bankable projects and bankable expenditure concepts, as well as the economic and technical requirements necessary to participate in each funding programme.
  • Advise the beneficiary on which funding programmes are most suitable for financing their projects.

What are the deadlines for applying for counselling?

You can apply throughout the whole year. In case of applying for grant/financing advice, it is only incompatible to apply for advice if you have submitted a grant/financing application to a call for proposals that is still pending.

Is there any cost for the applicant for this advisory service?

No. The service is completely free of charge.

Can a consultancy firm request advice?

No. Only end-investors can request personalised advice. Consultancy firms have at their disposal the mailbox vui@mintur.es to address their queries, but the study of the projects and subsequent telephone call for advice offered by this service are only addressed to final investors.

Is it a condition to apply for advice in order to obtain funding?

No. It is a voluntary service offered to companies that does not condition, either for or against, the obtaining of funding, which will be granted according to the criteria of each programme.
