Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business - FIEM

The FIEM is a fund managed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business through the Secretariat of State for Trade, whose objective is to promote the internationalization of Spanish companies by financing their export operations and overseas investments.

It is one of the instruments that make up the official support system for the internationalization of the Spanish economy, based on the provision of direct funding.

CESCE

Cesce: Insurance company operating independently and under state ownership - Cesce Spain

Cesce is the parent company of a group of firms that offers comprehensive solutions for the management of trade credit and the issuance of surety bonds and guarantees in parts of Europe and Latin America. Cesce is also the Spanish Export Credit Agency (ECA) that manages export credit insurance and coverage for medium- and long-term risks associated with energy-intensive consumers, both on behalf of the State.

Funding for Internationalization and Development | COFIDES

COFIDES provides tailored solutions for creating value through sustainable investments.

It provides medium- and long-term financing for viable private investment projects that, based on profitability criteria, contribute both to the development of the countries receiving the investments and to the internationalization of the Spanish economy and Spanish companies.

The Official Credit Institute is a public business entity (EPE) as defined in Law 40/2015 on the Legal Framework of the Public Sector, attached to the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business through the Secretariat of State for Economy and Business Support.

  • ICO Lines: Designed to finance the operations and projects of self-employed individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and companies, as well as their international expansion
  • Direct financing: Products designed to support flagship projects by Spanish companies and promote the growth of medium-sized businesses
  • Bonds and promissory notes: Supplementary financing instruments to boost business growth and competitiveness
  • Venture Capital - Axis: Investing in funds through AXIS to channel resources toward innovative startups and promote sustainable projects
  • The ICO as a State Financial Agency: it manages the ICO COVID-19 Guarantee Programs and official financing funds and instruments for exports and development
